CV/Bio

Scott White grew up in a small town called Stephenville Crossing on the west coast of Newfoundland. He's had an interest in art for as long as he can remember. He sketched from the time he was a few years old, and later developed an interest in painting through high school art classes.

Scott was introduced to painting using watercolor and acrylic, but tried oil shortly after and has used that medium ever since. He likes the richness of oils and the way they can be mixed to achieve any color.

As a young boy, Scott developed a love of nature most likely influenced from growing up on the west coast of Newfoundland and constantly being surrounded by beautiful mountain and ocean views. There is no surprise that landscapes are his subject of choice, sometimes accompanied by wildlife, painted in a realistic style.

Scott lived in Newfoundland until finishing high school, then moved to southwestern Ontario. He lived there until moving to eastern Ontario in 2009. He now lives just outside a little town called Westport, and is excited about the scenery that encompass' him.
